When you sign up, ask about our services, make a purchase, or contact us, you may give us:
-
Name
-
Phone number
-
Email address
-
Mailing address and billing address
-
Contact preferences
-
Login or authentication details
-
Debit or credit card information
Payments. If you buy something, we collect what's needed to process the payment — card number, security code, etc. Payments are handled and stored by Stripe. See their privacy policy at https://stripe.com/privacy.
Sensitive information. We don't collect it.
Whatever you give us should be accurate, and please let us know if anything changes.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our site, we automatically collect some technical information. This doesn't identify you by name, but it includes things like:
-
Log and usage data — IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps, crash reports, and similar diagnostic info.
-
Device data — device type, operating system, hardware model, ISP or mobile carrier, and device identifiers.
-
Location data — approximate location based on your IP address, or more precise GPS data if your device permits. You can turn this off in your device settings, though some features may not work as well.
We use this mainly to keep the site running, secure, and useful.
2. How We Use Your Information
We process your data for these reasons:
-
Run your account — let you sign up, log in, and manage your account.
-
Deliver our services — provide what you asked for.
-
Respond to you — answer questions and resolve issues.
-
Handle orders — process payments, returns, and exchanges.
-
Enable communication — if our service lets you message other users.
-
Request feedback — ask about your experience.
-
Send marketing — only if you've opted in. You can unsubscribe anytime.
-
Show relevant ads — personalize content based on your interests and location.
-
Improve our services — analyze trends and measure what's working.
-
Stay secure and legal — prevent fraud and meet our legal obligations.
3. Who We Share It With
We share your personal information in limited situations:
-
Service providers. Vendors who help us run the business (like Stripe for payments) under written contracts that require them to protect your data.
-
Business transfers. If we're involved in a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or similar transaction, your information may transfer as part of that.
We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we haven't done so in the past 12 months.
4. SMS and Mobile Information
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories described in this policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent — this information will not be shared with any third parties under any circumstance.
If you opt in to receive text messages from us, your phone number and consent data stay with us and our SMS service provider solely for the purpose of sending you the messages you signed up for.
You can opt out of SMS messages anytime by replying STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE.
5. How Long We Keep It
We keep your personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy — typically, as long as you have an account with us — unless a longer period is required by law (taxes, accounting, legal claims, etc.).
When we no longer need it, we delete or anonymize it. If that's not technically possible (for example, it's sitting in a backup), we store it securely and keep it out of any active use until deletion is possible.
6. How We Protect It
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information. That said, no system on the internet is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee that bad actors won't ever get through. Transmitting information to and from our site is at your own risk — use a secure connection.
7. Minors
We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we don't market to children. By using our services, you confirm you're at least 18 (or a parent/guardian consenting on a minor's behalf).
If we learn we've collected data from someone under 18, we'll delete it. If you believe a child has given us information, email seth@resourcemedicare.com.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
-
Withdraw consent. If we're relying on your consent, you can take it back at any time. This doesn't affect processing we already did before you withdrew.
-
Opt out of marketing. Click "unsubscribe" in any marketing email, reply STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE to a text, or contact us. We may still send you non-marketing messages (account updates, order confirmations, etc.).
-
Manage your account. Log in to update or delete your info, or contact us to close your account. We may retain some data to prevent fraud, resolve disputes, or comply with the law.
For questions, email assistance@resourcemedicare.com.
9. Do-Not-Track Signals
Most browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting. There's no agreed-upon standard for how websites should respond to it, so we currently don't. If that changes, we'll update this policy.
10. U.S. State Privacy Rights
If you live in California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, or another state with a comprehensive privacy law, you have specific rights. These aren't absolute — we may decline a request when the law allows.
